Financial Accountant (m/f/d) - full-time/part-time (min. 32h/week)
As a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) you will play a central role in our Finance & Legal team. Together with Benedikt, Iris and our Co-Founder and CFO Daniel, you will form the Finance & Legal backbone of Motius and its associated venture capital fund Spacewalk, ensuring that all internal accounting processes run smoothly. A flexible schedule and a hybrid working method in an international environment with full-time or part-time employment from 32h/week make this possible.

Your Role
- You will be responsible for the independent processing of the financial accounting using DateV and for the monthly preparation of the advance VAT return and the recapitulative statement (ZM)
- You carry out the bookings of bank and cash transactions and are therefore responsible for the company's entire payment transactions
- You will prepare the monthly financial statements, prepare the annual financial statements for the tax office and support the annual budgeting process
- You will also play a key role in the year-end closing process by calculating provisions and accruals (ARAP)
- You will verify the accuracy of invoices received in Spendesk and will calculate and prepare the annual artists' social security contribution
- You will prepare the accounts and reports as well as capital calls for other companies (Spacewalk)
Your Profile
- You have a commercial qualification with further training in financial accounting and/or balance sheet accounting, a degree in business administration or a comparable background
- You have several years of experience in financial accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable) as well as asset and payroll accounting and are familiar with DateV
- You are well versed in German tax law, have a good knowledge of accounting and financial reporting regulations in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and have already been able to apply these in the preparation of monthly financial statements and annual financial statements
- You have a high affinity for numbers, very good MS Office skills, especially Excel, and experience in processing payment transactions in Spendesk
- You are characterised by a structured and independent way of working and are fluent in German and English
